I’m Going Cami Crazy!

July 29th, 2010

Hello Palm Valley! I am clearly having an Old Navy moment, but before you say I am crazy for posting this outdated Old Navy commercial….you have to admit how funny it is.

I have never been a consistent Old Navy shopper, but I am happy that they drove me to their store this summer with their $2 tank tops and NOW their $2 cami sale. I am going to go cami crazy today. Six more hours until I get off work and grab 17 new v-neck layered camis. I am going out of town today for my family reunion and I haven’t even packed or completed my laundry. I know that is terrible. Thanks to Old Navy that won’t be necessary anymore. I will have a new outfit everyday this weekend. I can’t wait! Claim Your Old Navy Cami Coupon Now!

Which Came First, the Chicken or the Egg?

July 23rd, 2010

ChickenThis question has boggled minds for ages.  I think I first heard this question posed when I was in Kindergarten class.  And honestly, I have used many precious brain cells wondering what the answer is.  Well, I have to wonder no longer, because a group of scientists have finally cracked the riddle

It turns out that the answer may have been simpler than we first assumed.  It all comes down to one protein, OC-17.  This particular protein is used to create the egg shell.  And this ingredient is only found inside of the chicken, therefore there could never be an eggshell without the chicken.

Dr. Colin Freeman is quoted as saying “It had long been suspected that the egg came first, but now we have the scientific proof that shows that in fact the chicken came first,”  It’s believed that this discovery will help scientists find ways to create new materials by studying the chicken.  Now the only question is where did the chicken come from?

A Social Media Magazine? Coming Soon!

July 22nd, 2010

It’s only been weeks since Apple’s iPad launched and it’s ready to give it’s users an innovative way to keep up with their social media addiction.

Flipboard, iPad's New App

Flipboard is the new app made especially for the iPad.  Designed from the ground up, Flipboard creates a magazine out of a user’s social content.  From the Table of Contents readers can view their sections and personalize the magazine.  The content is populated based on the user’s own accounts on Twitter and Facebook, as well as their other interests.

And the best part is that this application is FREE!  So it will fit right into your budget, if you own an iPad.  The trends of social media are constantly changing, so maybe a magazine is needed to keep up with the ever changing landscape.
