The Nutcracker in San Jose

December 6th, 2010

The San Jose Ballet will be Performing the Nutcracker

One of my favorite memories of this time of the year has to be seeing holiday shows. Not only do you get to spend time with loved ones, eat great food, go ice skating, and enjoy wonderful parades, but you also get to see spectacular shows. Much like Radio City coming to San Jose, the San Jose Ballet performance of the Nutcracker is one of the annual theatrical performances that you don’t want to miss.

If you are not familiar with the Nutcracker, the store revolves around a young girl named Clara who falls asleep next to her Nutcracker after a holiday party (at her parents home), to the discovery that all of the toys are much bigger than her. The story continues to unfold with a ton of action and adventure. The theatrical performance is a ballet that is performed to musical scores, and tells the store through movement and sound.

The San Jose Ballet will be putting on performances of this classic holiday show from December 11th to the 26th at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts.

Don’t delay getting your tickets!
