I have some sad news to report: Your two local Borders bookstores are closing. Yes, Borders is closing two of their stores in San Jose due to restructuring. In fact, five stores in the area are closing including:
Accordingly, you will have to drive to the Borders bookstore located at 15 Ranch Drive in Milpitas if you want to shop at Borders in the future. How soon will you have to make the commute, you ask? Well these stores are expected to close by the end of April. However, you can still shop at Borders online if you wish! On the other hand, there are plenty of other bookstores in San Jose including:

Don’t forget to attend the District 2 Quarterly Community Meeting on Tuesday, February 22nd at the Edenvale Branch Library.
Councilmember, Ash Kalra will be in attendance to answer any questions that you may have regarding the new developments in District 2. In addition to hearing announcements and updates, you will have an opportunity to see a VTA presentation on the Blossom Hill pedestrian overcrossing. Also, I know many of you most likely have questions regarding the District 2 Solar Rebate Program, right? Well make sure you attend the meeting because there will be a presentation on the subject. Furthermore, the San Jose Police Department Crime Report will be discussed.

The 4th Annual Westfield Oakridge Winter Walk will take place on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Westfield Oakridge Shopping Center.
