There is nothing more relaxing than taking a dip in the pool after working hard all week. On the other hand, sometimes it’s just as relaxing when you sit by the pool and read the latest issue of your favorite magazine. If you’re like most Palm Valley residents, you were counting down the days until the pool reopened! In fact, you probably have friends and family members that live in other apartment communities in San Jose without a community pool on the property. It’s OK to invite them over for a swim, but remember that no more than 2 guests per household may accompany residents to the pool. In addition, please remember that glass and alcohol are not permitted in the pool area.
The pool is open from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. for your enjoyment. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to give us a call at 1-800-959-8419.

Although sharing an apartment with a close friend may sound fun, it can lead to disaster. Instead of living with friends, many people utilize online roommate matching services. It’s important to take precautions to keep your apartment safe. In fact, it’s a good idea to periodically look around to make sure that your apartment is free from hazards that may cause an apartment fire. You can help prevent a fire in your Palm Valley apartment by doing the following:
Unfortunately, the Fire Safety Presentation program has been discontinued at the San Jose Fire Department. However, they offer free safety information on their website that can help you keep your apartment safe.

Are you having trouble finding space in your kitchen and bathroom? Are these rooms in disorder, and you are in need of help? If so, don’t worry because I have some awesome organization tips to share:
• If your kitchen is like mine, you have a lot of papers on the counters. If so, consider purchasing a bulletin board and hang it on your kitchen wall to display papers. If that is not an option, simply buy magnets and hang the needed documents on your refrigerator. However, make sure that the things that you hang are pertinent.
• If you have an old salad spinner that you never use, get rid of it. The same can be said for any other kitchen appliance that you no longer need. For example, why would you keep a broken toaster? There is absolutely no reason why you should hang on to items that no longer can be used. Unnecessary items take up precious storage space.
• To create more space in your bathroom closet or storage area, buy a wine rack to store your bathroom towels. Wine racks can be purchased at a fairly decent price at most department stores.

Hello Palm Valley Resident! With the holiday season here, there are plenty of people with booked flights everywhere around the world, although many may have plans to be right here in their cozy apartment for the holidays. Some people decide to take their vacations during the winter months for various reasons like discounted prices, while others find it to be a time when it just feels more appropriate to stay at home and vacation during the summer. But here is a question for you Palm Valley Residents:
Hello Palm Valley Residents! San Jose Council-member Ash Kalra, will be hosting a Tools 4 School Fundraising Event through out the month of December. The fundrasier is to raise money for childrens school supplies through out the Bay Area.
Although there will be several drop off points for donated items, there are several other ways you can make a contribution to such a great cause. One way is to give a monetary gift online on the Bay Area Benefit website.
Another way to donate is at Azucar Latin Bistro located in Downtown San Jose. On this day you can come and enjoy appetizers and mojitos. If you dine at the restaurant, 15% of your dining bill will be donate to the charity.
